Seminar "Raising awareness in the field of corruption prevention and the fight against corruption"
On 17 February 2020, the Corruption Prevention Department of the Office of the Government of the Slovak Republic organized a seminar aimed at raising legal awareness in the field of corruption prevention in the Hotel Bôrik with more than 50 participants from different governmental institutions. Several experts with practical experiences made interesting presentations during the seminar. Mr. Peter Kovařík, Director General of the Corruption Prevention and Crisis Management Section of the Government Office of the Slovak Republic has explained a new level of anti-corruption standards in public administration that are in accordance with the international standard ISO 37001, as well as the information on the whistleblowers protection. Prosecutor of the Special Prosecutor's Office of the Slovak Republic, Mr. Ján Hrivnák explained in more details the issue of detecting, clarifying and prosecuting crimes of corruption in the state administration. Mr. Stefan Urbanek, expert from the Corruption Prevention Department focused on improving integrity in public administration in the Slovak Republic in the context of corruption prevention. He has highlighted the key goals of the project "Improving integrity in public administration in the Slovak Republic".
